Dr. Suchana Marahatta is an associate professor and permanent faculty in the Department of Dermatology in B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Nepal. Her special interest areas are dermatosurgery, hair restoration, aesthetics, and tropical dermatology. She is also the deputy editor of the Nepal Journal of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology. She has won many prestigious national and international awards like the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) DermLink Award (2020) for carrying out a community project entitled “Healthy Skin Initiative-not as simple as thought, let’s learn about tinea” in the Reliance Spinning Mills, Nepal, the Imrich Sarkany Non-European Scholarship Award (2019), and the Rising Star Scholarship Award to attend the 24th World Congress of Dermatology in Milan (2019).
